Interceptors are all about using speed as a defense rather than shields or armor. By flying fast enough, turret weapons cannot track fast enough to accurately hit the ship. Some interceptor setups can even fly faster than missiles rendering them harmless. Speed is acheived by using a combination of modules and rigs such as:
